91 Points - Luis Gutierrez - The Wine Advocate - “The 2015 Black Slate Porrera is a custom blend of 60% Garnacha, 35% Cariñena and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon from younger and older vines on slate soils. It's a ripe and heady village red that is part of a collection of village wines from Priorat produced by different wineries in conjunction with US importer Eric Solomon. It fermented in stainless steel and concrete vats for 25 days and matured in 225- and 300-liter oak barrels for 12 months. The wine has a traditional profile, with ripe fruit and noticeable impact from the oak, following the house style. The palate is medium to full-bodied with some dusty tannins and an earthy finish. 27,000 bottles produced.”
