88 Points - Neal Martin - The Wine Advocate: "Tasted blind at the annual "Burgfest" tasting in Beaune. The 2012 Nuits St Georges 1er Cru les St Georges from Henri Gouges was showing a fair amount of wood on the nose that at the moment occludes the terroir expression. There is a touch of the old "Wellington boot" here. The palate is medium-bodied with a saline opening, quite stocky in the mouth and assertive, the tannins a bit rough 'n ready on the finish. It feels a little "forced" at the moment, especially compared next to their divine NSG Vaucrains 2012."
