90-93 Points - Allen Meadows’ Burghound.com - “Producer note: As has been explained in these pages before, Domaine du Croix is the new incarnation of the old Domaine Duchet, which some old hands among you may remember as producing some lovely wines in the '60s and '70s. The Domaine and its 5 ha of vines were eventually put up for sale and a small group of investors from the US led by Roger Forbes purchased it early in 2005. They installed David Croix as régisseur and M. Croix splits his time between Domaine du Croix and Maison Camille Giroud. Fans of the domaine will notice the presence of three new wines in the Aloxe-Corton villages and now two grands crus. Tasting note: Here the dense and serious nose offers a similar profile to that of the La Vigne au Saint though with more earth and game influence. The rich, supple and mouth coating flavors are surprisingly forward, indeed even lilting, with good length to the velvety finish, which while firm, is not unduly austere.”
